A new series begins tomorrow
A new series will begin tomorrow morning. A series on prayer titled Prayer 101. It is based on Matthew 6:9-15. Prayer forms the basis for our relationship to God. There are many good books on prayer. I have cited some of my favorite in the citations post that will also be posted tomorrow. What I have learned is that the only way to learn to pray is to pray. This series simply gives some suggestions and helpful references to prayer.
I like the writings of A.W. Tozer. In the preface to "The Pursuit of God" Tozer says:
Nothing here is new except in the sense that it is a discovery which my own heart has made of spiritual realities most delightful and wonderful to me. Others before me have gone much farther into these holy mysteries than I have done, but if my fire is not large it is yet real, and may there be those those who can light their candle at its flame.
That is my prayer for this series of posts.
